FAQ
About Product
I. What materials are used for bolts, fittings, CNC parts, etc?
Most of them are made of 「S」 grade TC4 titanium alloy material, and 3D additive manufacturing products use TC4 titanium powder.
II. What does TC4 titanium alloy mean?
TC4 is a type of titanium alloy, similar to stainless steel with differences such as 316/304. It is forged by melting 90% pure titanium with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. After adding other metals, the strength is three times that of pure titanium. The surface hardness is around HRC35 and the tensile strength is around 1000 MPa.
III. What is the 「S」 grade TC4 titanium alloy material?
The quality levels of materials in the market are uneven, and different batches of products from the same supplier may have different qualities, or there may be behaviors such as adding waste to reduce costs. Even if we have material testing capabilities, encountering material problems can seriously affect product quality and production processes.
Therefore, we purchase sponge titanium raw materials for melting and forging (material production is completed by cooperative manufacturers), ensuring that every step meets our requirements. Therefore, "S" grade refers to materials that meet S-PARTS enterprise standards and maintain high consistency in the long term.
IV. What improvements will titanium alloy products bring compared to original steel or iron bolts in terms of strength?
1. Strength advantage
The bolt material suitable for most vehicle brands is 8.8 grade stainless steel bolts, while the density of titanium alloy (4.51 g/cm³) is only about 60% of steel, but its tensile strength can reach 800–1100 MPa, which is 1.3–1.5 times that of 304 stainless steel, and its strength is equivalent to 10.9 grade steel bolts. This high specific strength enables titanium alloy bolts to achieve lighter weight under the same load, while maintaining or surpassing the load-bearing capacity of steel bolts.
2. Tensile strength and yield strength
The tensile strength of titanium alloy bolts is generally higher than that of ordinary steel bolts, with an average tensile strength of over 1050 MPa, far exceeding the industry standard (≥ 895 MPa). And with a high yield to strength ratio, it performs better under tensile load. In addition, titanium alloy has a high yield strength, which can effectively resist deformation during cycling.
3. Corrosion resistance and long-term strength
Titanium alloy has an extremely low corrosion rate in corrosive environments (with an annual corrosion depth of only 0.0008 mm), far lower than steel bolts. This corrosion resistance avoids the strength attenuation caused by rusting of steel bolts, and can maintain stable performance even after long-term use.
4. Fatigue resistance and thermal stability
The thermal expansion coefficient and elastic modulus of titanium alloy are relatively small, and the thermal stress generated during temperature changes is low, therefore it has excellent thermal fatigue performance. Under repeated loads or temperature fluctuations, the strength of titanium alloy bolts deteriorates more slowly and has a longer lifespan.
5. Weight advantage
Compared to ordinary steel bolts, titanium alloy bolts weigh only about 45% of steel bolts in the same volume, making them suitable for users who pursue ultimate performance and modification.
6. Personalized appearance
S-PARTS products are distinguished from similar products by their performance, color, and appearance design advantages. Nine common colors: gold, colored, titanium, black, blue, green, purple, candy, indigo, and a variety of colorful anode patterns, mainly using two processes: PVD coating and titanium alloy anodizing. Among them, gold, black, and blue are PVD coatings; green, purple, candy color, and indigo are anodized, which can be freely selected and matched according to user needs.
Installation & Use
I. Installation method? (Only applicable to S-PARTS products)
- Choose appropriate installation tools;
- Disassemble the original factory bolts;
- Please compare the specifications of S-PARTS bolts with the original bolts first, confirm that they are correct, and then proceed with installation.
*The method for measuring bolt size is as follows:
A. Firstly, determine the head shape
The common types of bolt heads on the market include hexagonal head, outer hexagonal flange head, cylindrical head, countersunk head, and Canopy Head.
Hexagonal Head
Outer Hexagonal Head
Cylindrical Head
Countersunk Head
Canopy HeadB. Measure the following data
- L: Bolt length (required; measure the overall length of countersunk bolts)
- M: Cross sectional diameter of bolt thread (required)
- P: Thread spacing (required for thread diameters of 8mm and above)
- D: Head diameter (non-essential; accurate measurement required for embedding installation where the installation location has limitations on the outer diameter of the thread)

- H: Measure the length of the light rod (if any)

Countersunk bolts require measuring the total length. Please send the accurate size to customer service, and they will recommend suitable bolts for you.
4. Please install this product strictly according to the bolt torque indicated in the original accessory manual. Forced installation is strictly prohibited!
5. Complete the installation.
II. How accurate is the adaptation of vehicles and related accessories?
S-PARTS undergoes trial assembly, testing, and inspection during the process of adapting to each vehicle model and component. We respect the design of the original car model and will not develop any parts that are not suitable for replacing titanium alloy products. Fully maintain the fastener dimensions of the original car model, without using generic parts, ensuring that the product maintains consistency with the original in terms of performance and appearance.
III. What are the precautions for installation in different usage scenarios?
It is recommended to use thread glue for areas where the original factory requires adhesive, and titanium alloy anti-melting agent for areas where there is no requirement. The main function of anti-melting agent is to prevent cold welding between titanium alloy and other metals, which is the fusion between metal molecules.
IV. Is there a problem of discoloration on the surface of fasteners?
The coloring of any metal product, whether it is anodized, vacuum nitrided, or baked paint, is covered with a layer on the metal surface. Usually, after the product is installed, it will not come into contact with the surface of the object, so it will last forever. However, some fasteners have special positions and often come into contact and friction with multiple object surfaces, so discoloration is normal.
Candy colored, indigo colored and other anode products will change color when touched by hand, not fade. Because the grease on the hand sticks to the surface of the fastener, simply wipe it with an alcohol wipe to restore it to its original state.
V. Is the fastener thread broken?
In recent years, through process improvement and material control, the fracture rate of threads has significantly decreased, with a probability of about one in tens of thousands. After a fracture occurs, you can contact after-sales service, and S-PARTS will handle it for the customer as soon as possible; recycling of fractured products and conducting crystal orientation analysis to identify the cause of fracture and continue to improve these issues.
Return & Exchange
I. Return & exchange process
If you have a return or exchange request, please carefully read the following content.

Please note that bolts, parts, product instructions, packaging boxes, paper measuring cards, stickers, and all other accessories in the product you purchased are an integral part of the product. Therefore, the returned item must remain in its original purchase condition and meet the conditions for resale.
Some specifications of products have one thread in the middle as the original color, which is left by the hanging coloring process and is not a quality issue. Please be informed.
II. Return and exchange standards
Please refer to the following legend to understand the return and exchange standards.

- The product packaging is intact, without wrapping tape or shipping label, without graffiti or damage. The packaging of the products and gifts inside should be completed according to the return and exchange standards and sent back together.

- The bolts are clean and stain-free, maintaining their original purchase condition.
- The surface of the bolt is scratch-free and maintains its original purchase condition.
- The bolts remain in their original purchased state without any damage.
Please maintain the original purchase status of the product, with clean and scratch-free surfaces of bolts and spare parts, and no damage to bolts. If any of the following situations (including but not limited to) occur, returns or exchanges will not be accepted. Please understand.

- Installation of oil stains
